Safety

Calm by design. Safe by default.

Althio is a context layer, not a clinician. It never diagnoses or treats, and every deployment sits under licensed clinical supervision.

Clinician supervised

Althio never diagnoses or changes a treatment plan. It follows the plan the therapist writes, and the therapist sees its work.

The clinician decides what Althio does between sessions, and can change or pause it at any point in care.

Escalation built in

Crisis signals route to humans immediately — the clinician, the on-call line, or emergency services, by protocol.

Risk detection is tuned to over-refer rather than under-refer. A false positive costs a phone call; a false negative costs something that cannot be recovered.

Private and consented

HIPAA-eligible infrastructure. Patients choose what is shared, and clinicians see patterns — not private transcripts.

Consent is not a one-time checkbox. Patients can change what they share, or stop sharing, at any time.

How we handle data

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is scoped to the treating care team.

Althio reports patterns and changes rather than raw conversation, so the record a clinician reads is a clinical summary rather than an archive.
