Your clinician invited you to Althio
Althio helps you stay in touch with your care between sessions. This page explains what it is, what it is not, who sees what, and how to stop at any time.
Support between sessions, led by your clinician
What it does
- Lets you check in when something happens, by text or voice
- Reminds you of the practice you and your clinician planned
- Helps your clinician see how your week went
What it does not do
- Replace your therapist
- Diagnose or treat you
- Act as a crisis service
Three things to know
You agree first
Before your first check-in, you are told what Althio does and what your clinician will see.
You check in when you want
Write or speak when something happens, at any hour.
Your clinician sees the patterns
Before your next session, your clinician reads a short summary of your week.
Your information, your choice
Your information is protected under HIPAA. It is never sold and never used to train outside models.
You can change your consent at any time. You can also ask for your account and its information to be deleted.
How to delete your account · How your information is handled
Althio is not a crisis service
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In an emergency, call 911.
If a check-in shows you may be at risk, Althio shows you crisis resources straight away and follows your clinician's practice protocol to reach a person.
Does my clinician read everything I write?
Your clinician sees patterns and the moments that need them, not pages of messages. Before you start, you are told what your clinician will see.
Can I stop using Althio?
Yes. You can change your consent at any time, and you can ask for your account to be deleted.
Is my information sold?
No. Your information is never sold and never used to train outside models.
What if I need help right now?
Althio is not a crisis service. Call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
