Privacy and the data lifecycle

What happens to a patient's information from the moment they check in to the moment it is deleted.

From check-in to deletion

  1. Check-in. The patient writes or speaks to Althio between sessions, after agreeing to how it works.
  2. Processing. Althio reads the check-in to respond within the care plan and to look for risk.
  3. Patterns. Signals from the check-in, such as sleep or mood, are added to the patient’s record.
  4. Brief. Before the next session, the clinician reads a short summary of the week.
  5. Retention. Information is kept for as long as the practice’s agreement with Althio requires.
  6. Deletion. When a patient or practice asks for deletion, the information is deleted as the agreement sets out.

What we keep and what we do not

We keep We do not

Measures and their scores Use patient information to train outside models
Flags and who responded to them Share patient information with advertisers
Session notes the clinician signs Show patients’ words to practice managers

A patient agrees to how Althio works before their first check-in and can change their consent at any time. A session note is drafted only with the patient’s consent.
