Responsible AI principles

The rules Althio's AI works under, written down so practices and patients can hold us to them.

A clinician is in charge

Althio supports the care a clinician leads. The clinician sets the care plan, reviews every brief, and signs every note. Nothing reaches the record without them.

No diagnosis, no treatment

Althio never diagnoses or treats. It records what patients share, shows patterns and drafts paperwork for a clinician to review.

Risk goes to a person

When a check-in shows risk, Althio involves a person straight away, by the practice’s protocol. It does not handle a crisis on its own.

Patients know what it is

Althio tells patients what it is, what it is not, and what their clinician will see, before their first check-in.

Patient data is not training data

Patient information is never sold and never used to train outside models.

Watching how it performs

We review how Althio’s AI performs, including where it raised a flag that was not needed and where it should have raised one. What we learn changes how it works.
