Patients stay engaged between sessions
Patients check in by text or voice, keep up with their homework and measures, and get support within the plan their clinician set, at any hour.
Life happens in the other 167 hours
Hard moments rarely land in the session. A patient who has support at 11:42 on a Tuesday night, within their clinician's plan, arrives on Monday with the week still in view.
Three steps, from setup to the session
The patient is invited
The clinician invites the patient, who agrees to what Althio does and who sees what.
The patient checks in
At any hour, by text or voice, in their own words.
Althio responds within the plan
It encourages the practice the clinician set, and escalates any risk.
What is included
Any hour
Check-ins day or night, when something happens.
Text or voice
Patients use whichever is easier in the moment.
Exercises and reminders
Practice from the care plan, at the times the plan sets.
Plain about its limits
Althio tells patients what it is and what it is not.
Consent the patient controls
Patients can change their consent at any time.
Crisis resources
Shown at once when a check-in shows risk.
What it does and what it does not do
What it does
- Listens and responds within the care plan
- Reminds patients of the practice their clinician set
- Escalates risk to a person by the practice's protocol
What it does not do
- Act as a therapist
- Act as a crisis service
- Give a diagnosis or medical advice
Risk always reaches a person
When a check-in shows risk, Althio shows crisis resources to the patient and follows the practice's protocol to reach a clinician, the on-call line or emergency services.
Is the companion a therapist?
No. It supports the treatment the clinician leads. It never diagnoses or treats.
What does the patient need to use it?
An invitation from their clinician. The patient agrees to how it works before the first check-in.
